Forging Press Notes

Having done business world wide, we have established a
following of forging press customers.  Forging presses
being of a different work load verses a conventional pressed
steel press, but mechanically similar, we have experience in
replacing and improving the service life of the expendable
components, ie-clutch linings, clutch hubs and splines,
crank and main bearings, flywheel assemblies, gibbs gears,
and special lubrication.

We Specialize in crankshaft and backshaft, welding,
straightening and re-machining.  All welding is done in
house by St. Clair Machine Repair professional welders,
stress relieved prior to machining. If you prefer we can supply
totally new forged, heat treated and machined cranks, shafts,
and component parts.
Through our experience with Ajax, Erie, National Forging
presses, and others, we have a selection of remanufactured
clutch and brake plates, spline backshaft hubs, flywheel
bearings, and crankshafts.  Once St. Clair Machine is
selected to repair or upgrade your equipment, we will (at your
request) maintain an inventory of parts for your equipment.

your equipment.  We realize the  importance of your
production requirements and understand your time
restraints.  We are capable of performing the total
disassembly of your equipment or complete removal of the
equipment to our facility.  Visitation to St. Clair Machine by
your representative for follow up on all work being performed
