What are Gabions?  Gabions are construction
elements of different shape and size, made of
hexagonal wire netting, filled with earth and
stone. They are alternative solution to
concrete structures applicable in construction
of road and railway embankments, bridges,
retaining walls, channel lining and river training
works, rockfall protection, erosion control and
slope stabilization.
